Calum Best
Second Best: My Dad And Me
It took a brave author to pen this book knowing how their father was idolised by so many. It is not intended nor does it shame George Best or Calum Best as it is a real eye opener for those who have not experienced the pain of living with an alcoholic, it also benefits those who have experienced similar and done in a way to highlight the pain not the lack of love in a relationship. Calum shouldn't and hasn't (other than a of couple poor reviews) been penalised for grassing on his father, after all surely the whole world knew he was a rebel before we heard insight from his son.
Congratulations and Good Luck with the work you are doing to help others, your father would have been proud - in his own way.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child:

J. K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany
Based on the eighth story in the Harry Potter series this is a script of the official Harry Potter story the first presented on stage (world premiere in London's West End 30 July 2016) This edition will only be available until early 2017 when it will be replaced by a definitive edition of the script. This is a book for ultimate fans, one of them here read within a few hours, they are pretty quick readers but as it's a script if you wanted to you could read over the course of a day or stretch out over the weekend. What it does is excites you in anticipation of the play as reading a script misses the description you would find in a novel so it's a great warm up if you're lucky enough to have tickets to go watch on the big stage.
'It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.'

Grief Is The Thing With Feathers

(besides the obvious quality of this short story we selected for December book club as it is quite a timely book with all the media discussions about a normally taboo subject - death - and how families could relay their wishes and plan their funerals with loved ones so that it is easier for those left behind to deal with)

A humorous book based on incidents that may or may not have happened to John Lennon, how he had a dry spell for writing and seeked time alone on his island that he did actually purchase in 1967 in Clew Bay, Co Mayo, Ireland there's a lot of chat going on between a cross Lennon and his fictional Irish driver who is trying to get Lennon to his island so he can scream his f***ing lungs out and achieve screaming therapy whilst avoiding the media. The Rosie Project -
Graeme Simsion

International Best Seller 2013
Australian Novel set to become a major film starring Jennifer Lawrence see Hollywood Reporter exclusive
This brilliant easy to get into novel is a fun love story a professor and a woman who is far from his normal idea of a perfect match. The author's story began life in 2007 as a drama - screenplay, but was significantly changed to romantic comedy and released as a debut novel. Bill Gates asked to meet with the author and told him that the book was "funny and profound" whilst his wife Melinda stated it was "laugh out loud funny" more here. Read it quick before the film is out it's bound to be a massive hit once Sony get the director of the Rom Com sorted.
Available as 3 for £10 via Amazon books also see sequel 'The Rosie Effect' (2014) below. Which finds the couple relocate to New York.
